Appreciation Post: Mollie Sue Steenis-Gondi from America's Next Top Model Cycle 6

Mollie Sue is one of my all favourite model contestants on ANTM. Her elimination still stings to me to this day because i knew she had the passion and the drive to go further. When I saw her for the first time on the show around early 2006 i was at the end of my freshmen high school year during that time and she was so interesting because of her somewhat introverted personality. She was so down-to-earth, grounded and stayed true to her own values that I felt like it was the reason why she got a boring or lacking persona edit by the judges. She chose not to put exaggerated acts or engage in a pretty house drama. Her signature high fashion androgynous look really blurred conventional gender lines which is the reason that propelled her to international editorial and runway success, making her a muse for designers who valued edge over traditional commercial beauty. Her successful post-show work proves that not winning really gave her the opportunity to really explore new things when it comes to her modelling skills. I'm very proud of her because she worked very hard to get where she is now and i'm super happy that she is still modelling and owning it today especially in the runways.

Appreciation Post: Joshua Dibble from America's Next Top Model Cycle 21

Josh is my all time favourite male model semi-finalists in ANTM Cycle 21. When i first saw him on the show i thought he looked really awesome and had a very cool, sweet and friendly nature. He has a rugged warm facial look that blends stylishly in edgy traditional modelling. I was very heartbroken when he didn't make it in the Top 14 because I know that he would definitely slay those photoshoots alone big time. His previous and post-show print work are extremely great. Also he has one of the sweetest back stories regarding his childhood and being a part of the Make a Wish Foundation. It's just so sweet on how much of a dream it was for him to be a model and I'm happy and glad that he found success in it. I don't think he didn't need ANTM because he already won life with his good deeds.

Appreciation Post: Eva Marcille Pigford from America's Next Top Model Cycle 3

Eva will forever be one of my all time favourite ANTM winners. I just always love how she solidifies her reputation as a stylish, sharp-witted and resilient figure on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. When I saw her on Cycle 3 when I was around 6th Grade back in 2004 i immediately knew she would go far in the competition especially with her iconic audition. She always exudes a very fiery, ambitious and multifaceted persona which i really really admired. Her signature look bridges the high fashion edge with effortless warm sultry glamour. I remember when she won that season I was very happy for her because she really fully deserves it and seeing her now i'm very proud of what she achieves in her life especially in her career. Despite facing public divorce and the pressure of the entertainment industry, she always maintains a focus on self-love, personal reinvention and Black excellence.

Appreciation Post: Lisa Jackson from America's Next Top Model Cycle 9

One of my all time favourite model contestants on ANTM. Lisa is the model that just exudes all around stunning beauty and a perfect statuesque figure. I remember watching her on Cycle 9 way back in 2007 i thought she looked like a supermodel who possesses a sensitivity and professional adaptability. She was also a very good and vulnerable person as well never really afraid to show her true feelings on others. One of the aspects that i really love about her is her beautiful face particularly her striking bone structure. She had the regal and aristocratic look that translates to a highly sophisticated and expensive appeal which pretty much evokes comparisons to 90s female Supermodels. She was only placed 6th which I was not happy about during that time because I thought she deserved to go further. Her modelling work after the show is incredible especially both in print and runway. Her authentic disposition leans heavily towards professionalism and introspective vulnerability. I'm very proud of her to this day because she actively fought and proved that she was more than her past occupation as an exotic dancer. She had the perfect potential and fully maintained a steady, successful modelling career today.

Appreciation Post: Jade McSorley from Britain's Next Top Model Cycle 5

Jade will always be my all time favourite contestant in Britain's Next Top Model Cycle 5 because i was so drawn by her during that time when i watched her on the season way back around 2009. I always loved her friendly, likable and humble personality and she was also very deeply empathetic as well which is one of the reasons why i was rooting for her to win that time. She had a very distinctly edgy and high fashion look that leans heavily into the British indie-cool sensibility. I think this why she excels perfectly in print works. She was only placed third in the competition during that time which made me very sad but looking back now I think not winning really gave her the perfect opportunity to have a modelling career in the fashion industry. Her post-show print work is insane and i always love how punk and androgynous she is sometimes on her fashion editorials. I'm so proud of her resilience and perseverance in life because despite her transparent personal struggles, she was able to pull through and become very successful in her worn right. Her transition from being a top-tier fashion model to a circular fashion entrepreneur and academic is very admirable as well.

Appreciation Post: Elina Ivanova from America's Next Top Model Cycle 11

Elina will always be one of my all time favourite ANTM model contestants. She is very complex when it comes to her personality and professionalism. When I saw her on Cycle 11 way back in late 2008 I thought she looked absolutely gorgeous. She looked like a supermodel in my book and her demeanor in particular was the reason i was so curious and mesmerized by her. She was very stoic and controlled and was also very outspoken and blunt about expressing her opinions, which i find really great, actually. She had striking facial features which blended soft doll-like symmetry with harsh edgy angles. This gives her an adaptable editorial ideal for beauty shots in particular. She did not win the season but I was so happy that she made it in the top 5 at least because she really had all the goods and potential to be an amazing model. Her post-show work is extremely insane especially in high fashion editorial, she looked flawless and I'm very proud of her because despite her obstacles on the show she pulled off a highly respected successful career in the modelling industry. She really fully earns her place and spot in the fashion world. She is currently living a private life and i hope that she is doing just amazing.
