Primos Dame Dropbar vs Flatbar
Ok people with much smarter bike knowledge than me: I’m close to buying the Primos Dame Flatbar, but before I do, is the Microshift Advent X derailleur comparable, better, or worse than the Microshift Sword? If the Sword is a noticeable upgrade to the Advent X then maybe it’s worth getting the Dame Dropbar and switching out handlebars/shifters/brake levers? If comparable, I’d much rather just be happy enough, keep the bike as is, and save the extra money.
A bit about me: I’m not fast, not doing races, not pushing limits, not high performance oriented. I just want a comfortable, fun, and durable bike that I can cruise around town with my wife and 6 year old, a bike that can follow my son on the few gravel trails he wants to explore, and a bike that can cosplay as a weekend bike packer once every 5 years. I’m 6ft tall, 175lbs, with slightly longer legs than torso, looking at a size large.
Thank you all so much for your insight. And please let me know if there is something I’m not seeing when considering these two bikes.
