1-5 Error Driving me nuts on Craftsman CMXEOCG982 1 1/4 HP 50DCTBFMC Logic Board
I bought this opener 2 years ago, its been flawless. My dad always said , never get a belt driven opener he was always fond of the screw type and I guess he was right. The screw I installed 30 years ago is still working and never had issues and this one seems to be a lemon after ONLY 2 years. Suddenly out of the blue the door stopped working and wouldn't close after opening. After all attempts I had no choice but to factory reset. The sensors have never moved, the wires tapped in place on each rail never pulled or moved. They are always green and amber. The settings will hold for about a day or so and then repeat. I can factory reset again and all is well again for a day or so. I'm now reading that this logic board may have a bad solder point. Before I go tearing this apart anyone have other insight I may be overlooking? I thought it was the limits however if I try to reset them I only get clicking noises. 2 clicks and flashing bulbs. If I get any sort of flashing code its top arrow 1 flash, bottom arrow 5 flashes. But I can assure you its NOT the sensors!!! What am I missing? Help me Reddit...you've helped me out SO many times!!!
