Where has AI saved you the most time in your actual job?

Not the "AI will change everything" hype, just the real day-to-day stuff. For us (a small creative studio), a big part of the work is now faster:

  • Always up-to-date info. We can get current answers on tools, workflows or a client's industry without pinging a colleague or waiting for someone to reply.
  • Speed. Variations, resizing, first drafts of storyboards and sorting references are done in minutes. The gap from idea to first visual went from days to hours.
  • More time for the creative part. Less waiting and chasing, more time actually making decisions about the work.

What's the one task you'd never go back to doing by hand? And is there anything that's still faster without AI?

AI isn't killing creativity. It's finally letting it out of the drawer.

Someone posted here recently about carrying a story in their head for years with no way to show it to anyone. I read it twice, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since.

Because that's exactly how this world works. You don't get judged on the story. You get judged on everything around it. Are you known? Do you have credits? Do you know the right people?

And the part that genuinely makes me angry is that it's often not even about money. Some of the best ideas out there are cheap. Two characters. One location. A script that already works on the page. But it still doesn't get made, because it doesn't tick the boxes. And I don't just mean the boxes around the author. I mean the boxes around the story itself. A story can be honest, alive and beautifully told, and still get the polite no, simply because it's not the kind of story anyone is looking to fund right now. So it goes back into a drawer. Sometimes forever.

Classical production is genuinely hard, demanding and expensive, and I say that with respect. But AI finally means the wall isn't load bearing anymore.

That's exactly why I believe in AI as a tool. Not as a replacement for creativity, but as the thing that finally gives talented people a real shot. People with stories that have been sitting in their heads for years, who never had the money, the connections or the credits to get them out.

AI isn't killing creativity. It's unlocking the drawer.
