Could someone take a look at my speed test results and let me know if they make sense? I’m on the Max Residential 400mbps+ plan
I’m paying for the 400mbps+ plan but barely get above 200mbps. The Starlink app shows zero obstructions. The sky is completely clear with perfect weather. I ran the tests with my phone in the same exact spot about 8ft away from the wireless router. I live in a rural area, nearest neighbors are 2 miles away. Using the Starlink wireless router, not a third party router. Connected using 5Ghz on an iPhone 17 Pro. If I run a speed test on an Apple TV about 20ft away from the router with direct line of sight to the Apple TV it gets between 20-88mbps down and between 0-22mbps up (had to try twice because the first test failed due to loss of connection).
I’m tech savvy for what’s its worth, this is our ranch house. At my own home I have a UniFi Dream Machine SE with multiple APs and I get flawless speeds. I have experience setting up networks and WiFi. I can’t tell if the router from Starlink is just …bad or if it’s something in my setup.
