Help Save Jonesville Park Soccer Fields. Our tax money -Their profits!!!
Alachua County is tearing down the soccer fields outside the gated area at Jonesville Park. They are replacing them with a parking lot. Those are the only fields accessible by the public when the soccer academy is having practice. These fields are used by YMCA soccer, church soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Football players practicing routes etc.
The academy frequently kicks people out of the fields and have privatized a public space for their private use. Our tax money -- Their profits!!! Public parks should not be held only for those that can afford the expensive academies. In addition, we should never prioritize more space for cars over more green space for residents.
