Free nearest body of water

Where is the nearest body of water, river, lake to Harrogate that is not polluted or relatively safe to paddle or swim?

I know about Pool Bridge Farm and Rudding Park but wondering if there is somewhere I don't know about that is nearby, free of charge and pollution.

Reporting roofers/ getting a refund

We have had a bad experience with a roofing company. The job they did was of such a bad quality we have had to pay again for another company to do the job again. Where do we stand with getting our money back or reporting the company? It's horrible paying thousands of pounds for a job to be done terribly. Also don't want other people to go through what we have but don't want to give too many details for obvious reasons. We have since had dripping and pooling. The roof looks like a swimming pool when it rains and after.

Hi,

I have inherited a beautiful peony plant from the previous owners of my house. Are these peonies ready to cut to put in a vase? At which point do you cut them? I know you're not supposed to cut many. Thank you!
