Okay, inspired by eriophora's beautiful work, here's my current progress making super fine yarn to knit into a shawl. I'm trying to just use things i already have, but i had to go buy stitch markers because I couldn't find my own.

Half I'm spinning on a Turkish spindle while I'm out and about (great conversation piece at the bars) and half I'm spinning at home on my spinning wheel. I decided I'm going to spin and knit alternatively, since I think i need to keep the skeins relatively small anyways.

I love how my yarn ball fits in my stitch marker container, but I'm sad that I couldn't afford smaller needles. I tried using some 2.5mm needles from my lykke needle collection, but they made too open of a FO so i had to frog it and take a pair off an abandoned sock. I think these are size 1.
