UPDATE❤️ - The only Night Order Sheet you'll ever need (all characters)

Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas on my last post!
With your feedback I was able to improve the design, and I'm happy to share the complete document with you all❤️

Please let me know if you spot any mistakes or inconsistencies, or if you have any other feedback.
The character order is based on the official order from the script tool, with only a few modifications listed at the end of the post.

PDFs are available here, as well as the (very chaotic) SVG file, in case you want to make your own alterations :)

Order modifications:

First Night:
- Toymaker and Storm Catcher moved down to be with Tor at the start of minion/demon info roles.
- Damsel moved up to minion info step.
- Yaggababble moved up from after Poppy Grower to after Boffin.

Other Nights:
- Added Minstrel and Cannibal reminders at the top
- Removed Damsel (redundant with Huntsman)

FEEDBACK WANTED❤️ - The only Night Order Sheet you'll ever need (all characters)

Note: this is intended for in-person play ! (and for experienced STs)

This is still very much a work in progress, that's why I only made the first night so far. I want to gather feedback and finalize the design before making the other nights sheet in the same style. That's why I want to hear from the community!

What are your thoughts? Is it clear enough? Is it something you would actually use? What would you change or improve? Is the layout nonsensical? Are the icons ugly as sin?

When storytelling in person, swapping the night order sheet between scripts can be slightly awkward when you don't have room to spread all your papers out. And when you make a few small changes to a custom script, now you have to print the sheet all over again!
Okay, maybe those aren't such a big deal. But I thought it would be convenient to have a single sheet that works for all scripts, with just enough info for an experienced ST to get by, so here's my attempt at making it!

Below a few notes to explain my design decisions :

  • I've attempted to group characters into categories (without changing the official order) as a sort of mnemonic aid. However I think that the texts make the layout crowded, but I'm reluctant to remove them as I feel some explanation for the categories is necessary.
  • On abiltiy reminder icons (see if you can understand them without reading this first) : >!I tried to represent the most common ST/player actions at night with the icons, to replace the instruction text. combined with the ability text on the token, it should be all the info you need! On a character, the top icons show player decisions, and the bottom icons show storyteller actions, such that it flows naturally eg player chooses > ST gives info. The exception is the widow who sees grim before choosing. Actions that should be done to a different player a marked with a player in the top left of the icon. Optionnal player choices are shown in green and conditional actions in yellow. I tried to stick with existing BotC colours but I'm not entirely satisfied... Finally, I tried to make sure every icon is used at least twice, preferring a generic ! or ? icon for unique abilities, instead of a unique icon that would only be used only once!<

Looking forward to some constructive feedback :)
