So yeah, previously I couldn't get past chapter 6 of the very first book where Tolkien spends a bit too much talking about trees. I tried to read it twice and stopped both times at that point. This time I made it through that part (lol) and now am on the part in The Two Towers where Frodo and Sam bring Gollum with them. Loving this. New fan.

Just want to say thank you to those of you who encouraged me to keep going 🙏

Edit: Please don't spoil it for me. I haven't watched the movies and have purposely avoided spoiling content for myself. Will watch the films when I finish reading.
