Women of Reddit, why do you constantly bring up the "first meeting/origin story" with a guy you are close to?

I've noticed this behavior with a girl in my friend group.
However, the main pattern I noticed is that she frequently brings up our very first encounter from months ago. It involved a funny detail (I wore sunglasses, so she didn't recognize me the second time we met without them).
From a female perspective, what goes on in your mind when you constantly loop back to the first time you met someone? Is it a way to build a special connection/inside joke, or just a random memory
