The next BIG Absolutely Free Sharing Market will be happening the first week in September, but we are happy to announce we have been working on some smaller events, just to keep the sharing magic flowing! We hope you will join us for first-ever

AFSM: Mini-mart edition

Co-hosted by the AFSM team, Evergreen Resistance, and DECAY!

What's different?

The location and the scope! The Mini-Mart will take place at DECAY the evening of June 10th. We are also asking people to bring these items only:

Fun books
Hot weather clothes
Crafts and games for when it's too scorching to go outside!

Please no more than one grocery bag of donations per person.

What's the same?

Snacks! Surprises! Friendly people! All free, always.

Hi! This Monday evening is our next "planning while we keep our hands busy" session at the Capitol Campus gardens! We will have seated crafting opportunities*, too, if that's more comfortable for anyone.  We invite anyone to join us—tools, supplies, and snacks are provided, and we use these sessions to work together for brighter days ahead!

*Bracelet-making supplies to support both the upcoming Absolutely Free Sharing Market: Mini Mart Edition and also local Pride events

(This is aimed at Oly Eastsiders, unless you have a BUNCH of books)

More information will be shared soon, but we are working on a mini version(!!!) of the Absolutely Free Sharing Market that will focus expressly on summery things.  We are hoping to set up a "blind date with a book" station, but that requires getting the books in advance, so we're putting out a request for any FUN books (for all ages) people might have lying around. So if you have any beach-read-y novels lying around, please dm me! I live near Ralph's Thriftway, and would happily pick up any books in the neighborhood.

Just a reminder about this upcoming Monday's TCFB gardening event at the Capitol Campus! Get your hands dirty, meet with fellow progressive activists and discuss upcoming summer plans (if you want to—you can just quietly pull weeds, too), and support a vital local resource!
