need help bad af
i bought used epson perfection 2480 couple months ago. didnt need it until this week so that was eventually the time to unpack it and try it out. i kept it in cold dry place with no sunlight so nothing could happen
my os is windows 11 64x. so i installed the drivers the seller sent me, everything was working completely fine and i made 5 great scans and then something went wrong. then it started saying that cant properly access the scanner for no visible reason
there cant be any mechanical damage becasue i live alone and noone else touched it and it wasnt dropped or hit by anything. power cable and usb are also fine because i see it in my devices and in vuescan. the light is also white and bright and nice and it doesnt go out neither it flickers
i tried compatibility mode, changing usb cable to different one, reinstalled everything, tried windows 10 and mac osx 10.11.4, tried multiple different scanning apps and nothing would help.
with that new usb cable it kinda works, but in automatic mode epson scan wouldnt recognize my document, scanning in simple and professional mode would get me just a white paper
vuescan also kinda works but it wont roll that scanning thing all the way and back like in epson scan easy and professional mode, it scans only a piece and that's overexposed negative
i would really appreciate some help because im super desperate rn and ran out of ideas
