FME now available in Canada!
Hi all!
This is Dr. Max Silver, a dentist working in Toronto and Ottawa with a practice limited to surgery, inclduing the installation of MARPE and FME.
I know there are folks looking for FME in Canada, so I wanted to share that we will now be offering it in Ottawa! This includes the FME pro. Reach out to reception@maximumdental to schedule a consultation.
I also wanted to share a bit more about myself to this group:
- I am a general dentist with a practice limited to oral surgery. A significant part of my work involves the surgical planning and installation of MARPE/FME.
- I received my MARPE training from the amazing Dr. Ilya Lipkin, and as a surgically focused dentist, I am very comfortable with both the planning and surgical installation side of palatal expansion.
- My role in the airway space is specific. I work closely with orthodontic and airway-focused providers to support the surgical component of expansion cases.
- This began with my own personal experience as a MARPE patient. I am currently in orthodontics and planning for double jaw surgery, as I have moderate to severe sleep apnea.
- My airway journey continued through continuing education, and clinical collaboration - including with Drs. Newaz, Manuele, and my mother Dr Simi Silver who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
