For fans of Wo Long and Rise of the Ronin, how brutal is Nioh 3 really
I’ve recently come to love Team Ninja through my playthroughs of Rise of the Ronin and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
As I’ve gotten older as a gamer, I found myself gravitating toward easier games and getting frustrated more quickly with difficult ones. But Rise of the Ronin and Wo Long showed me that challenge and mastery are actually way more satisfying with the limited playtime I have now.
So my question is about Nioh 3.
I’m still a little intimidated by difficult Souls-like games, and I realize that Wo Long and Rise of the Ronin are probably nowhere near the challenge level of something like Nioh 3. I also was not a huge fan of Elden Ring. What I love is fast combat, deflection systems, pattern recognition, and learning boss moves over time.
I guess my question is this: based on loving Wo Long and Rise of the Ronin, and expecting a much bigger challenge from Nioh 3, do you think this is a game I should buy? Or is it the kind of game that can become more frustrating than rewarding?
I’m honestly really excited for it. I can’t stop watching videos and reviews, and it really seems like my style. I’d just love to hear some feedback before deciding.
