Confused on Duplicate BuyBack Email

This actually upsets me. I received the same email as a lot of you did stating my reconsideration request from 10/9/2025 was being closed because it was a duplicate. On 11/13/2024, I submitted a reconsideration request which I believe *back then* also doubled as a feedback request. I received a response from a rep at the FSA who explained to me why my count was off and that I needed to submit a buy back request 10/2025. I needed 16 additional months of employment because certain forbearances didn’t count. Ok, whatever so as instructed, I did a buyback/reconsideration request on 10/9/2025. The SAME request that they emailed me saying it’s being closed?!?

Are they counting my original request from 11/2024 as a buyback request?!? If not, did they just screw me?!?

Which is better, Cash Rewards or Go Rewards?

I noticed a lot of people that post here choose Cash Rewards over Go Rewards. I’m just curious on the thought process because when they’re compared to each other, Go Rewards seems to be a better option.

cashRewards: Earns a flat 1.5% cash back on all purchases. (If your approved credit limit is $5,000 or more, you are automatically upgraded to cashRewards Plus, which earns 2% cash back).

GO REWARDS: Earns 3X points on dining, 2X points on gas, and 1X point on everything else.

What am I missing? Maybe I’m just spoiled with my More Rewards point system, so the higher points on dining offered by Go Rewards clouds my judgement?

*sigh* I miss my baby

Watch this video with the sound ON 🔉!

It’s been 1 year since this incident and to no fault of my own GEICO decided to total my baby.

For context: I was at a car wash when the battery died and everything locked up. After this horrid tow, I was told by Land Rover that the “DC to DC Converter Failed”. It was covered at 100%. After that was fixed GEICO took it to evaluate the damages and found under-frame damage due to the tow chains being connected to the frame and not the specific hooks. I had 3 days to get my belongings and never saw by baby again 🥺.
