I’ve had my 21 WRX for about 2 years now, and it previously had Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 all-season tires. Over the past two years, the tires had become unbearable but I never ended up replacing them until now. It caused tons of road noise and shift timings to become off. The car essentially drove like shit.

I finally got around to replacing them with Hankook Ventus V2 Concept2’s, but they seem to be chopping very slightly on the outer treads after 3 days. Am I doing something wrong? They were balanced, inflated properly, alignment was checked, all fine. How does this keep happening?

I saw somewhere that the WRX needs symmetrical pattern tread tires, but is that really the issue??
