I want to request a feature for the next update but I don't know how or where to submit it, Can someone help me?
Hello, proud new owner since May 13 of a Odin 3 here, can someone pls help me, I want to suggest a feature I'm dying to be added in the key mapping tool, a circular DPad tool like the LJoystick & RJoystick.
I'm using them in Duckstation and Turnip NetherSX2, and this 2 emulators has really buggy keymapping for the DPad, it sometime still moves to the direction you push even if you already not pushing the button, AKA ghost input, it fix itself if you push the same direction again but it's really ticks me off when it happens, especially when I'm doing a platforming that needs precision.
Some say I should just use the Joysticks, but you see, I like the feel of the DPad, this thing feels nice to use so it will be shame not use it, especially in PsX & Ps2 games that are filled with precision base platforming games.
I tried using other modern or updated emulators like ArmSX2 and ePSXe, but it's either too buggy or too old that it has problem in the Odin 3, I would like to report this to Stenzek/Tahlreth(may he/she be well and always be in good health) but alas, the dev was bullied by keyboard warriors from Mount Twitter, middle schoolers who are high in MountainDew and high schooler who believe they are Gods so you must not defy them.
that was a tragedy, such a promising emulators was discontinued just cause some people can't understand that programming is not magic and needs time to create, but what pisses me off the most is they resorted to death threats and doxxing just cause there demands can't be met and they're not content on shutting AetherSX2 down but also Duckstation, they followed the devs to his/her other project just to harrass them, malice from no-lifers are terrifying.
Even though Stenzek/Tahlreth discontinued android development of AetherSX2 & Duckstation, the 2 emulators are still the best in there category, especially AetherSX2 now NetherSX2 as someone pick it up(Thank You Trixarian), but development is slow as they have no full access to the codes, having a fix for the DPad mapping will take a really really long time, the only workaround known so far is mapping it to the joystick, which work just fine but having a DPad this good and not being able to use it? Man that just a waste, so I use the key mapping tool built-in in odin 3, and it works!!
By mapping it over touch control, I was able to bypass the buggy mapping and use the DPad without consequence, I was so happy, no more ghost walk, no more over shooting platform, no more falling of a cliff, no more suspense while using the DPad, but it was short lived, it was fine for moving but not for combo's, this set up can't hit the diagonals, I tried fixing it with additional diagonal combo button but it didn't work, apparently it only do 1 command per press so to hit a diagonal I must release the the button I'm currently pressing and then press the diagonal combo to input it and to my dismay the key mapping for the Joystick key mapping tool works for diagonal input, So I can't do my spells in SotN with this setup, to spam spell I need to do it in the joystick which is kinda bums me out cause I'm much better at it in the DPad, so then it hits me, why not request a circular DPad tool to AYN? I mean they have the code and the DPad is just the same as the Joystick, the DPad only use buttons instead of Joysticks, they can just modify it a bit and it's good to go.
If you read that all, thank you, but if you don't, I don't blame you, I'm just venting my woes, well, enough of my rants, if any of you people knows any way to forward suggestion to AYN, it will be a big help to me, and if you already solved my problem, then pls, share it to me, I really want to use these DPad, I paid for this beast, and I'm gonna use every nook and cranny of this monster, that's all for now.
