is my ring set correctly?

just got engaged and i thought my diamond looked kind of strange in the setting. i took it to get appraised today and the jeweler (different from the person who set the diamond) said it was done incorrectly. he said it should be set lower, but other than that the diamond is secure. i’m just looking for advice on what to do and a second opinion to confirm what the jeweler who did the appraisal said. but i do think he’s probably on the nose, because it looks wrong to me as well. thanks!
