Back when I was in film school a buddy worked at a video store so we rented a LOT of movies. One has been bugging me for years that I can't recall it entirely.

It involved a group filming/exploring an old house if I recall. The big scene that has been burned in my mine was a girl in the group finds her sister in the attic of the house with an unfinished painting, the sister proceeds to gouge out her own eyes and pose for the painting demanding the MC to finish the painting. I also believe the building was on fire at this point. I think it was an asian horror film. That's everything I can pull from my frequently concussed brain.
