Why do people react so negatively to "Not all men"?

Is it that despicable for individual men to want to distance themselves from generalized claims like "Men are rapists"?

Hey guys, I had a little accident (spilled coffee, and unfortunately it hit my BM Kufstein ticket right across the barcode. Do you think this is still usable or should I write to EventIM and beg for a replacement? It's freaking 600 euro.
