I have a 2023 VW ID.4 Pro AWD and OBDeleven apps cannot connect to the car and instead display a message about opening the hood. As soon as I open the hood then the apps are able to connect to the car. Is this normal behavior? Am I missing something?

The rear view camera on my 2023 ID.4 Pro AWD stopped working and I ordered a 3rd party camera online to replace it as my car is out of warranty. The new camera image is very good and well aligned. However, it seems that the image is not shown in the right location on the screen.
I think the camera image should be aligned with the right side of the screen where it would not get hidden by the top view image of the car showing the sensors status. Also I can remove the top view image by sliding it left which then gives me the full view of the camera and the guide lines. I do remember that before I replaced the camera, I could see everything in one view and the guide lines were also slightly different colors.
I read that perhaps rebooting the infotainment system by pressing power for 10 sec would fix it but it didn't. My next move would be to try and see if there was a way to reset the rear view camera system to set it back to default behavior. If this helps I recently acquired an OBDeleven scan tool that has a lot of capabilities to configure the car but I couldn't find any setting that would be a simple camera reset.
