Samsung Galaxy S26/S26U
Thinking of moving from Apple to Samsung and wanted some honest opinions from people who’ve actually daily driven both.
Current phone:
- iPhone 15 Pro (AppleCare+, 100% battery health)
- Main issue is battery life + smaller screen for my hands
I’m looking at either:
- Galaxy S26 Ultra
or maybe
- S26
I can get the S26/S26 Ultra for a VERY good price after trade-in/discounts, which is why I’m seriously considering it.
Things I care about most:
- Battery life
- Big display
- Social media performance (TikTok, Instagram, Reddit etc)
- Cameras/video
- Reliability
- Thermals/performance
- Long-term satisfaction
I’ve used Apple for 13 years and genuinely love:
- iOS smoothness
- ecosystem polish
- camera consistency
- “it just works” feel
BUT I also:
- prefer larger phones
- like enthusiast tech
- want better battery
- like the idea of more freedom/customisation
My concern is:
Do Samsung phones actually hold up long-term as a daily driver coming from iPhone, or does the honeymoon phase wear off?
And is the S26 Ultra genuinely worth it over keeping the 15 Pro?
Or would you actually recommend grabbing an S25 Ultra instead?
Would appreciate brutally honest opinions from people who switched from Apple recently. 😏
