Just completed on a house, have handed in my two months' notice to landlord - when do I inform DWP?
Universal Credit - England.
I've just completed on a house, and as advised I didn't give notice to my landlord until it was confirmed. We exchanged on Friday 5th June and I gave notice on the day.
Not sure how to approach with DWP - do I tell them immediately? Or because I still need to pay rent for two more months, do I tell them on the last day of my tenancy? Want to get this right.
I had also had a gift of from my parents that went in and out of my account on the same day on the 4th - overall my capital on the day went over £16k, but quickly went back under to the normal reported amount. And my assessment period isn't until the end of the month so I thought this didn't need reporting (or they will see it if they request statements because my savings have gone down). Am I right in thinking this
