Used to climb over this wall to get out of Novigrad during Ciri breakneck speed. In my latest playthrough it’s not working though. Did they fix it or was I doing it wrong?
And how good it runs. Fast travel is a breeze now, it literally takes 2 seconds! So ready to platinum it again. Diving right into NG+ from my cross progression save! 🤞🏼
For the Lent trophy speedrun. You aren’t allowed to kill any animals or eat any meat. You can avoid any mission where you need to kill animals. If you must, run away from the wolves or kill them with a poisoned weapon.
Choose whatever skill you want to prioritise. But there’s one thing worth mentioning: Don’t ignore horsemanship skill too much. There are two occasions where you’ll need it. Since doing speedrun means you mostly fast travel. Your horsemanship skill is likely to not be high enough towards the end.
During Oratores >!you have to get on horseback and chase down the cardinal. If you have a slow horse, you’ll easily fail the mission. !< Unequipping your saddle will increase your chance to chase him down since riding without a saddle is faster.
During Hunger and Despair, >!you have to fetch some food for Capon. The game provides you with two ways to obtain food, but with the Lent trophy in mind only one of them is viable. You need to help the stable guy to tame a horse in exchange for a moonshine. Here, if your horsemanship level is low the horse will buck you off (mine was 16 at this point), and you’ll have no option but to give Capon the shoe soup which will lock you out of the trophy (eating the shoe soup counts as eating meat). !< At this point the Aesop potion is your life saver, just make sure you have a strong Aesop (+5 to horsemanship skill) or at least the ingredients to brew it. At this point you’re locked out of free roaming so it is important to have it BEFORE the point of no return.
I almost missed out the trophy during the run because of this. Luckily I had all the ingredients to make the potion and pop my horsemanship to lv 21. I was able to tame that horse in the end.
Has anyone tried a similar play through? Or if there’s other way to get Capon food. Let me know. I tried stealing, but it didn’t work.
