would islamic exorcism work if you have little to no faith?
need help for a slightly educational insight on this topic.
for context, my conservative family has been riddled with mystical stuff for the past month. my mom can be a bit tunnel-visioned when it comes to this stuff, and i wholeheartedly believe something is up with her both psychologically (ie anxiety and depression) and spiritually.
my brother has also shown aggressive tendencies towards people including lying and struggling with emotional regulation. now im sure you can debate that as terrible upbringing because yes i do agree our family do not have a picture perfect ways of handling the intricacies of child rearing. but other than that, somethings happened to him the past week. he was no witnesses during any of the incidents he experienced so we couldnt know for sure if it was behavioural issues from him or if its truly spiritual aka setan kacau.
this is where my problem comes in. mom decided to call in islamic reinforcements aka exorcism. im totally fine with that because afaik it doesnt involve me because i was not bothered by anything, only them yang kena. but then i found out that she’s also paying for me to ‘diubat’ cause i was ‘sensing things’. ??? i told her thats cause i have mental issues though
but all in all, i got my issues covered cause im medicated and i talk to professionals over this.
im stressed about the outcome of the exorcism whatsoever cause what if my cover is blown? i wouldnt say i’m an exmus, just that i’ve been lingering around in here a lot and i could see that i resonate with it. im not holy in any way, i have made my peace with cosplaying as a muslim, though its annoying but i know the risks and the fallout. and this upcoming exorcism is stressing me out about my place in this house.
