I have one gripe
I know this show is action based and it will take liberties for the story, but it genuinely seemed to be grounded in some terms diff aspects of the law. For example we see the DA refuse a wire tap, unless the case was stronger. We saw them talk about how certain aspects of Stiles investigation would have been tossed due to being illegally obtained.
So in episode 7, Candace goes to detective Cruz and tells her that she can get Ebony to confess or come in because she’s scared of her husband. Magically within an hour they have surveillance vans in place and she goes in with the necklace her husband gave her. She gets Ebony to confess to conspiracy.
How were they legally allowed to wire tap her, or record her? I don’t see what they would have been able to get a surveillance warrant without any probable cause. And I’m pretty sure she would the expectation of privacy in her residence. I would
Understand if they got her back to the station and convinced her to confess, but she has this high power lawyer who mentions nothing of this.
Maybe I missed something, or I’m wrong just seemed a bit weird.
Overall I like the show.
