Swollen lymph nodes
My son has had a small swollen lymph node on his neck since basically birth. He’s 8. Sometimes it’s not noticeable, but you can feel it if you touch it. Other times it’s noticeable. It never gets too big and it is movable. Usually he says there’s no pain. I’ve brought it up at just about every doctor appointment across multiple doctors, and they’ve always felt it and seen it and says it’s fine. Except for annual exam in March. She said she thinks she feels two this time and he said it kinda hurt when she was feeling around, so she wants to do blood work and now I’m freaking out over it. I mean, this thing is literally always there, it’s never gone away. It gets bigger and smaller, but you can always feel it.
I am now freaking out about it. There’s nothing abnormal going on with him, his records showing he is growing great, his appetite is shotty but it’s always been like that, he only eats certain things that he knows he likes. He has energy, way more energy than I could ever imagine. This kid will go all night every night if I allowed him.
Any words of advice? We go for blood work tomorrow, they said they should have results same day, so tomorrow I guess we find out what it is.
