Cat I cared for passed away

I had just seen her yesterday and when I came in she didn’t greet me at the door like she usually does. When I went to look for her I saw her laying very still next to one of her slow feeders. She passed away some time between yesterday and today morning. I will miss her so much. Called her parents and they said the vet estimated she wouldn't make it another year. I sat there and cried for a while before i emptied the freezer, gave her one last neck scratch, and placed her gently into a garbage bag then in the freezer. My eyes are swollen and my heart hurts.
