I wish you had to micro manage less objectives in marathon Heists.
I did both Farmer Miserable and Doctor Miserable a bit ago, and despite the name I had more fun doing those achievements than I ever did doing Cook Off, Santa's Workshop and especially Counterfeit.
Those achievements are designed to be a slog, but ironically they ask very little of you in terms of actual objectives.
Farmer miserable, you have to wait for the cage parts to be dropped each time, build the cage and then send a single goat up and then repeat.
Unironically more fun than trying to do the heist normally and transport and defend all twelve goats from the cops at once.
Idk people have been complaining for a while that defending multiple objectives at once, especially as a solo player, can be frustrating and annoying. Like on the dock heists, or Counterfeit or Framing Frame Day 2, because your AI is kinda useless and you can't be in multiple places at once, so you just have to run back and forth over and over again like a mad man resetting objectives.
You know what my experience doing Doctor miserable was like?
After finding the right engine, I just picked a different engine, put it in the helicopter for Bile, which is pretty easy and simple, then I got to just chill a few minutes, going back to the house and enjoying the combat loop of PayDay 2
Then, when it was time, I got another engine, brought it to Bile and that was it again.
I did that for like 54 minutes and it was fun, because PayDay 2 is fun, the shooter elements of PayDay 2 are fun.
Idk I guess I just wish marathon heists could be more like this.
Because I have played Cook Off a lot before, I got the "25 bags on Overkill or above" monthly challenge several times before and even got the trophy for 80 bags or however much it needed.
But a Heist like Counterfeit I just can't deal with.
You have to go and fill up both paper and ink very frequently, and they don't take the same amount of time to depleat, and then you have to defend what?
The printer itself and 2 seperate power boxes?
And it's all so far away from each other that you can't even put your crew AI in front of it, because they'll just leave it and follow you again if you go too far away.
And then sometimes, even when they do stay they don't stop cops from interrupting the objective.
So you just have to spend the entire time, running around, stressed and trying to min max and micro manage all these different aspects and then Bile randomly shows up and you have a limited amount of time to move all your loot bags into the helicopter.
Wouldn't the heist be better if you didn't have to do half those things?
If Counterfeit was like doing Doctor miserable, you could just turn on the printer, and then every four minutes it'd spit out a bag of money and that's it.
Maybe some people would find that boring and unengaging, idk..
I just thought it was interesting how much fun both doctor miserable and farmer miserable were to do, because you just didn't have to worry.
It felt like doing a marathon heist, but without having to worry about objectives. Like playing Cook off in an online lobby as not the cook.
Which, if you are playing online, and you get to split up these objectives, I guess you are borderline doing what I described.
Just as a solo player you have to do it all on your own and I don't find that enjoyable.
If Doctor Miserable and Farmer Miserable actually were a infinite marathon heist and you got progressively more money and rewards the longer you did it, like Cook Off, like Counterfeit and Santa's Workshop, I would only ever play those two heists to farm money and EXP.
Would love to hear other people's thoughts on this.
