Looking For a Robot Vaccum For My Grandma.
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a robot vacuum recommendation for my 85-year-old grandmother who lives alone in a small apartment. At this point, manual cleaning is getting too physically tiring for her because bending over to vacuum or empty a standard dustbin causes a lot of strain.
Her specific situation:
- It is a small apartment, but it has a lot of carpet.
- She does not have home Wi-Fi. She is tech-literate and can activate a mobile hotspot on her phone if necessary for occasional updates or setup, but the vacuum needs to be able to run reliably day-to-day via physical buttons or a remote without a constant internet connection.
- It absolutely must be a self-emptying model. The entire goal is to minimize how much she has to bend down.
- I am looking for the cheapest reliable option that fits these needs. I want something budget-friendly but robust enough that it won't constantly get stuck or require troubleshooting.
What are the best entry-level, self-emptying models currently on the market that handle carpets well and can function without permanent Wi-Fi?
Thanks in advance for any help!
