Need Advice: Heritage vs IEM vs Techno India/TMSL for BCA or BTech (New to Kolkata)

Hi everyone!
I recently moved to Kolkata from another state with my family. I had to leave my previous college due to some personal reasons, so now I'm looking to start fresh here.
I'm currently confused between BCA and BTech, and I'd really appreciate advice from students or alumni.
The colleges I'm considering are:
Heritage Institute
IEM
Techno India University (TIU)
Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL)
I have a few questions:
In today's job market, would you recommend BCA or BTech?
If I choose BCA, which of these colleges offers the best faculty, placements, coding culture, internships, campus life, and overall reputation?
If BTech is the better option, which college would you recommend?
If you've studied at any of these colleges, I'd love to hear your honest experience—the positives as well as the negatives.
One more thing I'm confused about:
I didn't appear for WBJEE or any other engineering entrance exam this year. One college told me that they cannot offer admission through the management quota without a WBJEE rank.
Is that actually true? I was under the impression that management quota admissions don't necessarily require an entrance exam. Is this a rule followed by all colleges in West Bengal, or does it depend on the college which follow MAKAUT?
I'd really appreciate any guidance. I'm new to Kolkata and don't know many people here, so your advice would help me make the right decision.
