2013 Base Model

This was the first car I bought purely because I loved it and had big dreams of customizing. I'm a Toyota person, my 2 previous cars were a 1995 Celica and a 2017 Corolla- I Bought these purely for reliability's sake.

I was in the market for a 4Runner but with the options I was able to find in Phoenix, a GX was a better option for the money

I made the mistake of falling in love with the car as soon as I saw it. The dealer was a scum bag but i really wanted the car lol. I bought it that day. No PPI or anything- LESSON LEARNED

A while after I bought the car I found a buyers guide stuffed into the passenger seat rear pocket. It basically said used cars MAY have leaking gaskets, dog tracks etc... I knew that this car had the issues listed there because it was so specific 🤣, the car was covered in dog fur lol.

I took the truck in to change all fluids, service front and rear differentials, transfer case, oil change etc and learned I had the timing cover and valley plate leak I had those issues repaired and hoped that was the end of it😭

I'm pretty sure the dealership did something to turn off the TPMS light too, it came on very shortly after I started driving the car, come to find out all 5 were toast.

When I recently had a shop install my new wheels and tires they found the radiator was leaking at the seam so I replaced that, also had them replace the TPMS sensors

I have the CARFAX care report and the car was maintenanced regularly at the dealership. I'm hoping this is the last of the major repairs for a while but honestly feeling a little uneasy lol

I would love to start some easy off-road trails here near Mesa. I have no experience so I'm nervous, open to any and all tips!

New wheels, tires, and tint

Went with the Falken Rubitreks 265/70r17 tires.

Wheels are 17x9 SSW Dakars in machined silver

20% tints all around

The tires do rub at full lock , will need to look into that over the weekend.

I was nervous about the silver wheels, my initial plan was black but damn. I like this more seeing it put together.
