Am I crazy, or does "G-AI-A" fit the Hyundai x Samsung partnership perfectly? ( Currently Ai name is Gleo)
I’ve been a Samsung and Hyundai guy my whole life (currently driving a 2016 Elantra). I’m hyped for the new Samsung-powered tech in the Grandeur and Genesis, but the name for the new AI—"Gleo"—is honestly terrible.
It sounds like a house cleaning product "Gleo Spray it cleans everything "
The perfect name was right there: GAIA (or G·AI·A).
***** G = Galaxy (Samsung hardware) + Grandeur & Genesis (Hyundai flagships).
* AI = The word AI is literally in the center of the name.
* A = The last letter of Hyundai. If you read it backwards its Ai again which solidifies the Hyundai name in G• AI •A
In mythology, Gaia is Mother Earth. Cars are grounded vehicles locked to the road that you use to travel the world. Naming a car’s brain after "Mother Earth" fits that premium, stable feeling you want in a luxury interior like the Grandeur.
I know the software team at 42dot probably chose "Gleo" for legal reasons, but G·AI·A would have been a legendary way to lock in the partnership.
Does "Gleo" actually grow on anyone, or did they drop the ball here?
I just really want them to change the name of the Ai
