I recently saw a TikTok that said the reason why art usually labelled as ‘modern art’ sells for extremely high prices to the point where a single brushstroke is worth millions is due to money laundering.
I was so shocked because this makes so much sense. Now I’m wondering why no one is getting caught or investigated for that, there’s no way it’s that easy.
Hi I am 17 and I had my first ever job interview today for a receptionist at a 5 star Hotel. I started the interview of well and they said I was confident but I needed to research more about the hotel which I didn’t know I had to do since I only researched about the company and there was two rounds of interviews so they still sent me in to the next.
They gave me like 4 minutes to research and I was sent to the manager who asked me about the hotel again and I relayed all the information perfectly like number of rooms in the hotel nearest restaurants etc and they were pleased with that since I learned information quickly. Everything else went well but I messed up horribly because the manager asked me why I was underprepared and I said I didn’t know it was that serious.
As soon as the words left my mouth I knew I messed up horribly and I should’ve paused before answering the question just caught me off guard. What I meant was I didn’t realise the depth of information that was I required to know about the hotel as I thought I would just learn if l got the job. I reexplained myself but I don’t know if that was enough cause I was still nervous and did a horrible job at it. Afterwards the interview continued fine and I asked good questions gave my availability etc.
Did I completely ruined my chances?
