Wife doesn't want anyone to see or hold our newborn
Our nb is 3 weeks old and my wife doesn't want other people to see or hold him. Like at all. We've had no visitors at home, except for my mom who helped watch him while we went out with my wife's family yesterday. (It was for a major family event) While we were there, they were asking about our baby a lot, obviously curious about seeing him.
She tells me it's because she doesn't want him to get sick which I definitely understand and can get behind, and is the reason I've supported her in keeping him to herself, but also... I feel this immense pride with him and I guess I want to show him off! I want my dad to see him and hold him, I want my family and her family to see how big and healthy he is...
I've communicated this to my wife and she just rolls her eyes and tells me she's the mom. I know I didn't push him out of my body so I have like no say but it's actually getting frustrating to me. And I can tell some of our family members are frustrated too.
How can I be happy with her decision?
