I want to improve my link profile and try Web 2.0 backlinks. Have you tried this strategy? Which sites would you recommend or not?

There are so many sites, but many of the suggested sites seem to have poor indexation or don't get indexed at all. I'd really appreciate recommendations based on actual experience. Thank you so much
