Advice? Drivers keep damaging our USPS mailbox.
We live in a neighborhood where MOST houses don't have a mailbox. The mail is delivered to a central community mailbox. We're the exception, because my partner is a disabled veteran, and we filed the paperwork for USPS to bring the mail to our door.
About a month ago Amazon drivers started cramming packages into the USPS mailbox that hangs off our house. It has been pulled off the side of our house three times, the damage being clear in Amazon's delivery photo. When not damaged, it often doesn't leave room for USPS to deliver our mail, which includes needed prescription medications.
I'm not sure why this keeps happening. It's clearly a USPS mailbox (red flag + our house number) which I assume drivers are trained not to use. Customer service throws gift cards at us for the property damage (far more than the actual amount of the damage, incidentally) and says they'll send feedback to the driver and delivery hub. And it keeps happening.
I don't want to get the drivers in trouble but I really need this to stop. We've even left delivery instructions, "Please don't use USPS mailbox, leave package on ground by front door." Doesn't seem to matter.
Any advice on cutting through the bureaucracy here?
