Carb loading and calories

I'm trying to figure out carb loading before a marathon. I'm seeing 8-12g per kg of bodyweight on the preceeding 48hrs. So each day that would be approx 800g which would mean I'm at 3.5-4k calories as i won't be able to eat pure carbohydrates.

So my question- for any one who has purposefully carb loaded- how many grams relative to bodyweight did you have and how many calories did you consume? 8k calories over 2 days while resting seems excessive!

The new app UI is awful! Why did they do it!

I have to go back and forth to see my calorie goal and exercise when inputting food. And it's now more annoying to log meals. Why oh why oh why did they do this.

Is 4h15 realistic?

Next long run is this weekend at 26km. My easy pace is around 7m /km and threshold according to garmin is 5m13 /km . Long runs have been fine so far, and also threshold/tempo sessions. I'm following garmin daily suggestions, but ramping up the long runs until taper at 3 weeks remaining.

I've been averaging 40km a week since May.

With runs increasing, my weekly milage should start to average more like 50-70km a week until taper.

I have 7.5 weeks to go.

Does a 4h15 sound reasonable assuming no injuries for the rest of the 7.5 weeks?

Marathon pace during long runs or not?

I am 9 weeks out until my marathon. I'm doing approx 45km(28 miles) a week and planned to rise up to 65km(40 miles) at peak, maybe evem a little more if recovery holds up. Things are going well, longest run so far is 22km(13 miles). I'm running a 1/2 marathon in a week to see if I should stick with 4h30 goal or aim for slightly higher. Pace during long runs is approx* 6m50 /km (10m44). Lactate according to garmin is 5m13/km (8m24)

I've got about 7 or 8 long runs remaining and my question is - should I be including marathon pace in these? I'm mostly using garmin daily suggestions which is fine but there's no marathon pace in these. I'm seeing conflicting advice online. I feel like I should be doing at least some marathon pace but want to hear from those who have, or know whether it is beneficial for my training goals or not.

Question for people who use a garmin watch and daily suggestions

For those who have used this - does garmin suggest long runs with marathon pace as part of the run as you progress? I'm seeing a lot of advice that this is useful and will just create my own workout if garmin doesn't do it automatically.
