UI Update

Woke up to the new UI. It’s crazy how the development team keeps making it worse.
The people liked the way it was, just put it back.
The good ol saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

MFP is the #1 Battery Drain - What is Going On?

On Android 16, very recently the background drain has been insane, it's the number 1 app on my phone for draining battery, despite already being restricted. For comparison WhatsApp shows 10h in background and 1 mAh drained, MFP is draining at 300x the rate of WhatsApp!

Have reported to MFP and didn't receive a reply, added a Play Store review and it was just a replied to with generic answer about checking their support pages.

Anyone have any recommendations?

NOOOO MY UI FINALLY UPDATED

my biggest complaint is that I can't swipe between the days!!!

I don't mind the design change, but I do wish the food items in each meal would at least be shown, even if not the calories.... it says "[food item] and x more". that's so stupid.

I've read some people here talking about MFP using AI in the new UI. where is the AI slop everyone's talking about? is it just the layout itself or are there AI features I haven't seen yet?

I hope I'll get used to this layout. I'm so close to switching apps, but I have over 200 foods and almost 400 recipes on here...

Just got the face-lift App... & I agree with the majority of comments... It is pathetic!

Must be some exec or whoever marketing wannabe who approved this downgrade (can't call it an upgrade for sure).

Why screw with something that's already working.

Pathetic

moderately active or active?

I run about 30 miles a week, strength train for about an hour 5x a week, and i hit anywhere from 20k-25k steps a day. On saturday i do 2 hours of badminton, and i don't run on sundays, i just walk for about an hour or two in total after my lift.

I know that the calculators often overestimate activity levels, but i'm unsure if this falls into the moderately active or active category.

Crazy macros.

Thought i’d share my macros from today.

super odd day of eating, and ended up with this at the end of the day.

and yes, the fat is way too low. i never go sub 70g, but it was just a one-time thing.

MFP increasing my calorie intake

Can someone explain why the app automatically increased my calorie intake? My calorie goal is 1450 but it increased to 1511 based on activity level. Why does that happen? Does it mean the more I workout the more it’ll increase my calorie intake? I’m so confused.

P.S today is my first time using the app

The devs must be “Vibe Coding”

It feels like every update makes the app worse. It’s really starting to feel like the devs are just using
genAI to make terrible changes that nobody wants.

Does anyone who’s into coding see any clear signs that these changes have been made with AI?

Tracking homemade meals?

I’m still trying to figure this out. I consulted Google and followed the steps I found, but the recipe never actually saves, even after trying multiple times.

When I make homemade meals, I’d love an easier way to enter all of the ingredients, save them as one recipe or meal, and then track my portion from there instead of having to weigh and log every single ingredient individually.

Is there an easier way to do this in MyFitnessPal? Any insight would be appreciated!

Canceling seems impossible

I just payed for another year, love the app but want to choose for myself if i will use it after one more year. Canceling seems impossible, only delaying the payment.

I bought it on Samsung, trying to cancel it in the app store - impossible. On IOS it isn't on my apps that im paying for.

Can anyone elloborate?

Feel like this is a dumb question but I’m new to logging+cal deficit

If I’m eating past 12am bc I’m up late, should I log it as the day it was? Or the day it is? I just feel like if I’m going to go to sleep yet, it’s not the next day. lol does this make sense

The new UI finally found me. It's unusuable. What are good alternatives?

I've used MFP for years and this morning the UI updated. I can't navigate in it and everything is off. What are comparable alternatives? I'm willing to pay for the app. Need to track my macros. Need to be able to create recipes. Need a barcode scanner.

Edited to add that I am a premium MFP subscriber and happy to pay premium elsewhere.

Just started using MFP and isn't this a clue that the app is dead?

No smart copy on Android?

Hey guys,

Longtime iPhone user switched to Android the other day, and one of the first apps I got up and running was Myfitnesspal.

I noticed that (in my opinion one of the best features of the app) Smart Copy is missing on Android. If a meal slot is empty, for example if you haven't logged anything for breakfast yet, there is no option 'Add yesterdays breakfast'.

So far the only workaround I found is going back to the previous day, selecting the meal there, and copying it to the current day. That's a lot more actions than just adding it in the current day with one tap.

Am I missing something here, or does Myfitnesspal have Android/iOS differences like this?
