Genuine question for KIIT Pharmacy seniors
Hey guys 🙏
So I've been going back and forth on this decision for weeks now and I'm genuinely losing sleep over it. Got KIIT as an option, also looking at LPU and a few central universities. Most things I find online feel like they're written by the college's own marketing team, so I figured I'd just ask directly.
I'm specifically asking pharmacy department seniors because from what I've seen, most KIIT reviews are from CSE/ECE people and pharmacy feels like a completely different world.
Internships — do they actually happen?
Like real ones. Not "we have an MoU with XYZ hospital" kind of internships. I want to know if people actually go and work at pharma companies — QC, regulatory affairs, production, R&D — or is it just a line on the brochure? Did college help you find it or did you have to figure it out yourself?
Faculty — honestly how are they?
Are there professors who actually know the industry, or is it the usual "read from slides" situation? Anyone who's done research or has real connections? I don't mind rigorous teaching, I just don't want to sit through four years of uninspired lectures.
Campus life / the vibe
I've seen the pictures, the campus looks beautiful. But what's it actually like day-to-day in the pharmacy school? Is the crowd serious about studies? Is there any kind of research culture or student community? Or does everyone just survive semesters and scroll reels?
Placements — no cap
I know pharma placements are never going to look like CSE numbers. But are companies like Sun Pharma, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's actually visiting? What do most people end up doing after graduating — decent roles or mostly medical rep / sales? What's a realistic expectation?
And the big one — KIIT vs LPU vs Central University?
I know central universities are cheaper and have government backing. LPU has a huge marketing machine but I've heard it's hit or miss. KIIT has the brand and the campus — but is the pharmacy department actually given attention, or does it feel like the college's main focus is engineering and pharmacy is just... there?
I'm from a middle-class family, fees matter to me. I'm not chasing a fancy campus experience, I want to actually build something in pharma — probably R&D or regulatory affairs down the line. So if you think a central university or even LPU makes more sense for that, please tell me. Here or dm.
Just want the truth. Good or bad. 🙏
