I just finished the series. Here are my thoughts.

First of all, I started the series with the wrong impression. I went in thinking it was going to be more typical detective show style. I was so skeptical at first! I kept thinking things like “So any rando can just join the police force and hang out with a detective?” and “Therapists taking sexual favors as payment?”
I made fun of it a lot. It was still entertaining to critique, so I kept watching.

After the first couple seasons, I got into it way more and appreciated it for what it is. It’s funny. It’s more about the celestial world and relationships and less about detective work. The funny parts made me laugh. The serious parts made me cry.

The devil is bisexual. Eve married her lesbian demon girlfriend. God is basically just a normal guy. They didn’t shy away from anything, and I love that.

One of the things that really impressed me was the music. The entire department needs a raise. A lot of the songs they used weren’t from a genre I normally listen to, and I had not heard most of them. I found myself liking music I normally wouldn’t because it fit so well.

Overall, once I got into it, I really liked it. I will probably watch it again in a couple years when I’ve forgotten a lot of it. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t go in thinking it’s going to be CSI: Satan. It’s not, but I love it for what it is.

Reflectix/window film question.

I currently have Reflectix on most of my windows. It works ok at keeping it cool in here, but I hate the way it looks from the outside. Inside, it’s under the curtains.
I was thinking of putting blackout film first, then the Reflectix for a better look and less heat. Since the Reflectix is designed to reflect the light away, would I be defeating the purpose by blocking the sunlight from reaching it? Or am I just way overthinking this.
I had blackout film in my house and it was the best thing ever for keeping my room cool and dark when I worked overnight.
Thanks friends!

UHC Case Manager

I had a 6 day inpatient hospital stay recently. I received a call today from someone saying they were a UHC case manager. She briefly explained why she was calling (to make sure I am getting the care I need and that there are no gaps in care, and that it was a benefit my plan offered??), but could not go any further because I politely refused to verify my name, address, DOB and phone # on a call I didn’t originate. She said she would send me a company email with her contact information and follow up Monday.
Is there any benefit in speaking to them and answering personal questions? I don’t see what they would need to offer me. I followed up with my PCP and am still receiving care.
The cynical side of me thinks they want to try to get me to give them ammunition to deny my claims. I had 2 ER visits related to this, then the inpatient stay.
