Private Road/ Driveway Easement- NW Indiana

We live on a common driveway/ road that has a street name but is not maintained by our county. There are (8) homes on this road and there are (2) of us that have the means to maintain the road. This entails constant grading of the surface, snow removal of not only the road but most of the homes. We take turns mowing areas that others cannot get to or are have the equipment to do so. We do so happily as everybody gets along relatively well. The neighborhood is surveyed showing the lots and road along with a 50' easement. 25' on either side of the center of thevroad.

One day out of the blue an owner that lives at the entrance of our little neighborhood decided that the road is encroaching on her land. She went on to explain the the two of us that maintain and take care of everything are "widening" the road onto their land.

So, they decided to take matters into their own hands and place blocks where they felt the road edge should be. Interesting to say the least. It is now not possible for two vehicles to pass without one literally going into someone's yard. I've contacted the county and was told they are going to "try to reason with them".

I'm over it. It's so ridiculous I don't know what to do next without starting a war. The homeowner that did this is family to the other houses on their side of the road. We've tried reasoning with them and have found they are off their rocker. Beyond listening to logic. What legal routes would one recommend if the county falls through and throws up their hands? TYIA!

Edit: the land across from here has boulders that were placed there years ago. I've attached photos of that.

Edit: I'm unable to add the pic of the boulders across the road from these. Sorry.
