Recently been hired by VM and looking forward to learning about the role.

I’ve been researching a lot throughout the whole application and recruitment process and feelings seem to vary, i.e some saying poor work/life balance others saying work/life balance is great etc.

Seen some conflicting info regarding the shift times on the last day, some say 8-4, 8-4:30, 8-5. My own contract I’ve received says 8-7 and 8-18.

My question is-

how do these shifts fit around the advertised shifts of only 10 and 7.5 hours- is an 8-4:30 a 7.5 with a 1 hour break? Or a paid 30 and an unpaid 30 mins in the same shift?
Or does it simply mean anywhere between 7.5-10

Any insight from techs on these shift patterns would be appreciated. Thank you
