GCSE Options

I'm a year ten and these r my gcse options i chose last year!

CORE:

english lit & lang (aqa), maths (edexhell), and triple sci (edexcel)

religious studies (aqa, done in year ten)

comp sci (ocr, done in year 10. set 1 for ict does comp sci and set 2-4 do Btech DIT, so i do cs)

(yes u have to do rs and cs AND in y10)

OPTIONS:

mfl: french (aqa, higher)

creative subject: wjec hospitality and catering (not an actual gcse, also its baso js food tech tbh)

humanity: history (aqa)

I do not regret any, all I'll say is only choose computer science if you like it, not just for a job or something.

I chose these over a year ago so feel free to ask me any question!

Any Law students /offer holders?

Hi, I'm a GCSE student going into Year 11 in September. I'm considering doing law, and while its early to say of course, I'm just curious about something. I would love if anyone who is a law student at a russel group, or an offer holder for one, could give their answers on some questions

Such as:

- What A-levels are preferred? Specifically, does English Lit, History and Psych work? I want to choose my A-levels early Year 10, so I want to be sure

- While A-level law isn't mandatory, is it helpful? I considered Politics but tbh it sounds pretty boring

Thank you!

NEW POWER AND CONFLICT POEM

I wander through each chartered classroom,
near where the chartered teachers speak
and mark in every face of gloom
marks of misery, marks so bleak.

In every cry of every girl,
in every teacher’s scream of anger,
in every song that makes you twirl,
there’s surely one that is a banger.

How the canteen cleaners cry,
every blackening office appalls,
and the hapless dinner lady’s sigh
runs like blood down head office walls.

But most through playground courts I hear
how the youthful Year Sevens curse,
blast the shocked Year Elevens’ ears —
for yes, every year does get worse.

(*also for context i said girls bcs i go to an all girls school*)
