I'm heading to a conference in Calgary the first week in November, and am looking for suggestions for neutral shoes/boots weather appropriate that will be comfortable but attractive....
Temp ranges are likely to be 10-45 degrees Fahrenheit. I live in the northeastern US, so this will be a worthwhile purchase, but Calgary is looking colder in than my home temps.

Edited to add: wow, so many great ideas, thank you all! I should add that I am learning to do more out of necessity, but I’m not patient with the process of applying make up, so lower frills approach is my go to.
I've been playing around with different products and haven't landed on anything I'm thrilled with for this stage. I was a powder blush gal for years, and I like the control I have with it, and it seems to last, but it also settles more into my lines, and I notice it a lot more as we move into fall. I need something with more moisture.
I want to love Miracle Balm but don't. I find it too lightly pigmented and it doesn't hold up all day, and my face looks flatter/less dimensional with it. Similar result with Revolution Beauty Balm Glow, though it has more pigment.
Help, somebody steer me in the right direction...
I'm moving my daughter to Denver next week for grad school, and we will be furnishing her apartment and will need to purchase a lot to get her set up. I think we will find a lot through FB marketplace, but I'm also wondering if there are any good places to look for other odds and ends.

Overnight my skin has changed (thank you menopause 😡), my face feels really dry and I’m not sure what to use. I use Jones Road for foundation and I hated their deep moisturizer. Looking for something really hydrating, on the oilier side could be okay, I feel like my skin now sucks everything up.
We are road tripping to Denver from New York at the end of July to move my daughter for grad school. Our route is route 90 from NY to Chicago and then route 80 until we pick up 76 at the Colorado border.

I would love hear about your experience with Angelique- positive or not.
I am currently on Duavee +.025 patch and it’s working okayish but I’m still getting hot flashes, sometimes enough to really disrupt my already pretty crappy sleep.
My doctor mentioned Angelique as something else I could try since it comes with a higher dose of estrogen than I can get with Duavee. I have an appointment coming up and am considering asking for it. But everything ends up being a pretty big adjustment for me so I’m a little hesitant to mess with something that’s kind of working….
My daughter is moving to Denver for grad school and I just spoke with an agent at a rental building who told me the building (which is older, but has decent reviews) does not have heat and that she could install a window unit. Is that really a thing in Colorado or does she just not know what she's talking about? We're coming from NY where every building is heated, and pipes would freeze otherwise......
Editing to add that I really think the person I spoke to (who works for the property manager) was young and a little clueless. I think probably the heat is for the whole building and possibly there is no thermostat control in the individual units.
I’m from California where there are buildings that actually don’t have heat, but I’ve been in New York for a long time…. I figured Colorado is cold too lol and you need heat.
Wondering where the best place to search for rentals from smaller private landlords is? Is craigslist a decent option?
My daughter is an incoming DU law student and her budget won’t accommodate higher rents from bigger property management companies.
I am currently shopping to move the HSA administration for my company ( <50 employees). We have been with a Wex based platform administered by our bank (regional). We have never been thrilled with the platform, but previously the customer service on the employer side for any issues or corrections was phenomenal. That has really deteriorated in the last 18 months to the point that it's time to move it.
Our payroll is already with Paychex, so having that be integrated is appealing, but I'd love to hear from anyone who uses it about how your experience has been. Specifically, does the employee platform work well for them, and how is the service on the administrative side if there any any issues or corrections needed?

I feel so flat so much of the time since menopause. I miss feeling joy. I have it in moments here and there, but they are few and far between anymore. And I have recently been observing myself not enjoying or appreciating the simple things I used to, and I haven’t replaced them with new joys. This sucks- I don’t like this existence.
I’m 54, on Duavee + .025 patch ( I’m progesterone intolerant). I tried testosterone briefly but it made me feel ragey. Creatine has a milder but similar effect- even on a low dose I would get really irritable every afternoon.
I lift weights 4 days a week. I have a good social circle. I eat clean whole foods and lean towards protein and fiber (veggies).
Prozac made me an exhausted zombie. Effexor made me a less exhausted zombie….
I’m at a loss. I tend to be sensitive and react strongly to a lot of meds. I miss feeling joy and optimism…..
Anyone solve this?
