Interview questions for a new boss...
Hi, I just had my first interview (of three, most likely) with a company and read between the lines. It sounds like the manager they had (overseeing a small group of people who work with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities), left unexpectedly (was probably fired). The HR person I interviewed with made it sound like the manager they had, had no people skills, didn't get their reports done on time, and that the employees working under them were very unhappy with them (again, reading between the lines). My next interview will likely be with HR and an executive officer, and then after that, with the actual (disgruntled) employees! I'm not worried about the interview with HR and the executive officer, but I'm curious on how to prepare for the one with the employees. I'm not sure if their questions will be vetted by HR, nor not, and the other people they're interviewing already work for the company (but don't have the qualifications I have - again, reading between the lines). I haven't been a manager in many years, but have a ton of experience working with people with special needs. Any ideas what the employees might ask? Any suggestions on how to answer them given their issues over the past year? Any suggestions on where else I might post this (maybe a reddit for direct care workers)? Thank you!
