Is not liking suprises a red flag in dating?

Is it a bad trait to dislike surprises? I don't like them for logical reasons and always had bad experiences with surprises, not including romantic relationships. My last relationship, I made it very clear to my partner that I would much rather knowingly build up to a great gift/event rather than have it be hidden from me. I suppose it's a personal preference given my upbringing, but it got me curious if this attitude of mine is actually a negative trait given some introspection from arguments I've had with close relatives. What do you guys think?

Just wanted to vent. For some reason Canvas was working on my phone so I decided to watch a 22 minute lecture through the phone and I got kicked out regardless after I fixed the video player a few times. I just wanted to finish some assignments before work during the weekend and man I feel like I don't care anymore. Like if the app doesn't work, it should at least have the decency of having it not work on the phones either.

That and the stupid school login makes me want to rethink on life. It's so frustrating because everything around you is just barely tolerable and I have nothing else good to say on any other circumstance. Literally, on top of all my problems, a fucking password login that infuriates me to no end has to be what drives me nuts. I think I need to get fucking laid guys idk.
