Turns out it was Hashimotos

I spent years thinking I was just bad at dealing with stress. Constant fatigue + brain fog + being cold all the time and always waking up exhausted no matter how much I slept. I kept trying to fix myself with better routines and supplements because I assumed I was the problem. Nothing ever looked obviously wrong on basic bloodwork and I was always told my labs were fine. Eventually I got a more detailed thyroid panel through Goodlabs and found elevated TPO antibodies while a few other markers were sitting right on the edge of range.

My therapist kept asking why I was so quick to dismiss what my body was telling me and that question stuck with me because I had already spent years trying antidepressants, fixing my sleep and doing everything I could to feel better without understanding why I still felt so physically off. It was weirdly emotional realizing I might not have been imagining how bad I felt all those years.
