Considering a laptop trade
Hey guys, I'm getting ready to head off to college soon and have two lightweight student laptops, while my friend has an Acer Nitro V 515-55 and wanted to ask about trading it for one of mine since it's too bulky to cart around to classes all day.
The main thing(s) I want a gaming laptop for is to play Subnautica 2 (big/main one) and some other low-mid level games like unmodded Minecraft, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, Roblox, etcetera.
As it stands, I'm looking through his specs right now and it has an Intel I5 10300, GTX 3050 (4gb VRAM) and 8gb of RAM which I'm aware is all under the minimum for Subnautica 2 at the moment, is it worth making the trade anyways and putting more RAM in it or will that not compensate for the lack of VRAM?
For context, I have a base Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 11 that's pretty much brand new, would it be better to try and sell it for ~$1000 and buy something used off of Facebook Marketplace?
